whassup guys and gals, more of my random thoughts
Andre ward handled his business, but it was a sloppy fight with Ravelo, but hey a win is a win. I would lke to see him in one of those cross road fights where the rubber meets tghe road where its an actually chance he could lose and see him have to really use his skill to win.
Ronald hearns now 19-0 he got hit quite a bit in this fight with a guy 12-3 but hey ronald only had about 10 fights anyway.
The last time i saw Raul Marquez in a meaningful fight he was on the losing end to the then future champ Jermain Taylor. There's a saying, (in time all wounds heal) and that couldnt be more true in the case of Raul Marquez ,as he earned a well deserved win against Govanni Lorenzo, now he's positoned his self to get a title shot possibly against Abraham.
Speaking of king Arthur, WOW! he destroyed the once iron willed wrecking machine Edison Miranda, I think i know where the weapons of mass destruction are Mr president, check Abraham's gloves.
Chris Arreola, will never win the Arnold shwartznegger toned arms and six pack award, but what i will give him is an all action all the time award for exciting heavyweight fights.
When was the last time we had one of those?
Arreolla vs Haye anyone?
Andre Berto, He's WBC champ now.
Will he be able to compete with the likes of : Cotto, Mosley, Judah, Margarito, Paul williams Clottey?
And whassup with Michael Katsidis backing out of the Diaz fight?
Y'know i put my name out there to take the place of Katsidis, but no answer, or better yet they found somebody else...Ok.
What does everyone think about Diaz vs Pacquaio? i think its an interesting fight.
Hey guys there was a time when i use to see good fights on free televison and im just 31 years old, im talking championship fights.
Remember wide world of sports? good fighters
Too(Orlando Canizales) also CBS did championship fights also like every
weekend. I even remember the fights on basic cable like USA"s tuesday night fights be fore that the were called thursday night fights, Memories....Also world class fighters didnt mind getting a passport and traveling to fight abroad. Thats something ive always wanted to do and will do one day. I remember when fighters fought and fought often, it wasnt about all the money. The money just happened to come because guys were busy.
The fans loved to cheer theyre favorites on, even if they lost nobody cared because they knew the guy fought with everything. Unfortunately fighters dont fight that much anymore, and i blame the money hungry promoters, who dont give a damn, managers fit right in that catagory too.
Its a shame everytime i read an interview, a boxer who hasnt fought in 7 or 8 months is saying in the interview that he's just waiting on his promoter to call him for a fight.....ITS A DIFFERENT GAME.
